I matriculated in 2005 and between then and 2010, I lose my metric certificate.i recently applied for a job, and needed to submit a certified copy of my metric certificate. On 20 November 2012, I went to the Dept of Education offices in Pretoria and requested a reissue of said certificate and i was told that i will receive the certificate on the second week of January 2013. I am still waiting. I called on the 21 February 2013 to for a follow up and i was told that it was sent already, then i waited again. on the 8 March 2013 i called again and a different lady told me that they haven't sent it yet due to the postman strike and she doesn't have a clue when the certificate will be sent. i missed out on a job opportunity because i couldn't produce this certificate how long it will take to receive it.
