Saturday, 9 March 2013 I and my friend travelled to Mogwase in North West, late in the afternoon when we were preparing to travel back home to gauteng, we were involved in a car accident whereby a guy didn't observe and just cut-in in front of an oncoming car and as his was hit, it slided onto ours. On the arrival of the police just a simple statments were taken from the drivers and a sketch drafted. Police didn't bother to check cars inside nor take the drivers for blood samples at the nearest clinic, despite the insistance myself and my friend who was driving our car. One of the reason we insisted is because a glass was thrown out of the car that did not observe and I picked it up to show to the police officials who went on to ignore our call. When we people on the scene we got an "allegation" that the guy is one of the top politically connected in the munic. We took pictures and inside the car was a coolerbox which made our suspicion worse hence we requested the police the we submit ourselves for alcohol sampling but none entertained our query. When we took pictures the guy ordered someone to take numberplates off. I have pictures. With all these will accident report not change.
