South African Police Service
Police Harrasment and assault

Having to walk home after working a late shift a police vehicle just pulls in front of me and a police officer gets out and walks over to me and starts putting his hands in my pockets to search me. I refuse to be searched without reason so two of them throw me in the back of their van. BSR 987 B. They take me to a police station, Randburg police station. I demand that they lay a charge against me but they refuse and force me into a room and four of them start ripping my bag and jacket off of me and demand that I be searched. After they find nothing incriminating on me even after forcing my shoe's off they let me go. When I ask for their names they refuse to give them to me. I ask to lay a charge against them or /and file a report they refuse this too.
They all just ignore me at the police station except for one police officer, Jafta Mogeni that says they have every right to do what they want to a suspect. Jafta says in the accadamy they are taught that a suspect has no rights. Is this what the south African police force has come to and believes.
