Has anyone ever heard the city of Joburg call centre's catch line "we are currently experiencing high call volumes, please hold for the next available agent ". Are there any agents working at City power call centre, or is this call centre situated in Delhi?? Not withstanding the time that you call this number the phone doesn't get answered even after holding on in excess of 90 mins at 3am. Who is ultimately in charge of this call centre? Who is in charge of the "non-existent agents' that are employed? surely with the exorbitant City Power rates that we pay we should be receiving prompt and efficient remedial action to disruptions experienced. In the past four days various phases of the power have been off for up to 16 hours at a time. The reason is evident - overgrown trees keep on touching the overhead wires.
Who pays for electrical equipment damaged, while waiting for the seven day lead time?
surely other city of Joburg residents are at their wits end as well with this complete apathy and no existent service
instead of them requesting 5 year projected increases shouldn't the City of Joburg be doing damage control and creating confidence in the residents disillusioned minds
