There is a problem we have been experiencing for the past three months in Mid Ennerdale 3rd Avenue. There is someone with an illegal connection for electricity and it causes power outages in our street almost everyday, and when that happens the electricity goes off more than 2times in one night. The residents in 3rd avenue took the matter to city power in Lenasia offices they came but they never solved the problem, the illegal connection is still connected and is causing problems. We have called many time the call center doesn't allocate someone to come when the electricity is off so the residents now have opened the box, immediately the power goes off they push the liver up themselves. This is a serious problem but city power has not attended to the matter correctly. This is due to new houses being built and some people not following procedures to connect the electricity. But we expect Eskom or city power to act against illegal connections. These are dangerous for children the wires are seen naked on the illegal connection in 3rd avenue Mid Ennerdale.
