I am the tenant of the property and on Wed 18 Dec my water services was disconnected.
Called the call centre only to find out that someone elses acc was mixed up with mine. The account no on the notice of disconnection has a CN Qasha, acc no 900899013, address 1290 Halfway Gdns, ext 60 TS, my address is 3 Carlswald Glen Springfield Rd and the account is in the name of the owner J Paschalides. Accs 551180494, 900729406 & 900899013 and as per my call with agent Mbongeni on 18.12.2013 @ 10:24pm all accs up to date.
The incompetence of agents at the municipality is disgusting. I had called a Lebo Sotura @ 4:51pm, was put on hold till 5:08pm as he went off to look into the account but seemed never to have returned. After i dropped the call, I called back @ 5:08pm and spoke to Xolani who said that the account is overdue and he basically cannot assist. He didnt bother that the disconnection notice slipped under my door had the wrong account details on. Are the addresses not verified before hand?
After going into the midrand offices a Cecilia assisted and sent an e-mail to the cr controller to re-connect, but I must wait 72 hrs due to their incompetence.
