The water pipe leading to my house starting leaking water which started causing my paving to disintegrate. I got a plumber involved who identified the leak is before the water meter in other words municipality side of responsibility and unable to work on that side as he will be fined.
I then reported the incident to Ekurhuleni Municipality on 1 December 2012 with reference number 679288 and promised that the problem will be addressed within 5 working days. I followed up regularly through December and continued in January 2013 with no success. On 27 January 2013 the pipe burst and spraying water directly into my property. I reported this at 11h00 am stating i had no water in the house and in short period my house will be flooded with the pace of the rising water. I was given reference 705764 that was linked to previous reference and said they will attend to the issue same day. An hour later my neighbor also reported the incident as his house was about to get flooded and was given reference 705786.
In the meanwhile there was a broken connection which I managed to unscrew and after about an hours of fighting against the water force managed to get a connector on the broken pipe.
