I have a friend who is a T4 complete paraplegia (paralysed from the upper chest down) and also 50% deaf. Last year the 12th December I took
my friend Samson J Kanniappen to the SASSA Office to update his details for the new year 2013. I was told by a official (Brian) at the Stanger office that they only start on the 14th January 2013, and that he would put Samson J Kanniappen on the list, he was number 14 on the list; as they come to the homes of people who are bedridden all documents were completed and handed to the official. Since December Mr Samson J Kanniappen has been back to the office four more times I took him again on the 30th July 2013 and was told that they were coming to see him the next week, nothing has happened? Mr Samson J Kanniappen has not had a social grant paid, the last was 3rd June 2013. How are these people supposed to live without a monthly grant. The SASSA office have been phoned various times on the following numbers 032551700; 0325525246; 0325517001 always being promised that it would be sorted out. Various of Mr Kanniappen family have also phoned without any success Please your help is needed urgently.
