My sister passed away last year in 21/08/2012 and she was buried on 01/09/2012, and the time of her passing she was receiving care grant for her 3 children. After the funeral my mother went to SASSA Offices to inform them about the tragic even and wanted to apply for Foster care grant for the 3 kids. She was later told that she does not qualify for the grant as she is working. Today (27/03/2013) i called SASSA Pretoria Head Office and the help i got was that my mother qualified for the Foster care grant (Social Assistance Act 2004) as those are not her biological children. I would like you to help me with regards to this matter.
