I Elbe Snyman am putting in a complaint on behalf of my mother, who is 95 and bedridden. A Sassa card was issued to her at her home on 16 July 2013. Thereafter the first old age grant was drawn successfully in August 2013. The following month, in September 2013, I used her Sassa card and it reflected 'no funds available'. After reporting the matter to the call centre at Port Shepstone, PJ advised me to use the ATM and report back. This happened 3 times on the same day and each time PJ advised me to try again. Eventually the ATM swallowed the card. I went to the Police dept and signed an affidavit as to what happened. Then PJ sent the Sassa representative, called Alex, and I gave him the affidavit and a second card was issued to my mom at home on 13 Sept. Thereafter I once again tried to drawn funds out of the new card, and it just stated that the pin number is not connected with the card. After reporting this to PJ, nothing has been done to help me and we are now in October. I have no had enough as I am getting no help from Sassa Port Sheptone. I don't know what to do anymore! Please respond URGENTLY.
