City Of Cape Town Municipality
Appalling Service

I bought a property in Tembani and moved in on the 7th of July only to find that the electric meter box has been tampered with as it had zero units but the power was on, Monday the 8th, I went to report the matter at kayelitsha Eskom branch and, on the 19th July my power was switched off for illegal wiring / connection (which I had reported), to my surprise I had to pay R2, 120 for re connection which I refused, The supervisor requested my offer to purchase to prove my statement which was not asked when I went to report, I gave it to her, she then requested a complaint certificate that also was e- mailed to her in my presence but all that did not help, she then suggested that I make a plan to get electricity on as it was Friday and nothing could be done anyway. Thursday the 12 September they came to inspect and found that i had re-connected and they disconnected, I was requested to pay the R2, 120, which i did, later on the 13th I received a message from Eskom requested that I pay R4, 770 as they claim that was my second offence of disconnection despite the report I gave and in fact she could not even recall the compliance certificate she had requested. What do I do and where do I go?
