WHAT THE ..?

In recent months my Electricity and Rates has more than doubled in fact it seemed like it multiplied by 3. I have visited the offices in Plumstead i have made phone calls and eventually made arrangements to settle the electricity and rates bill i am querying about. My query is simple and i require a simple straightfoward answer.
After disconnecting my Geyser, replacing it with a Solar Power only geyser... replacing all globes inside and outside with energy savers and LED lighting..we dont use the stove at all during the week... and week-ends we braai or use the weber... how come my electricity bill escalated to multiply like that. My rates my water everything basically jumped a considerable amount more and no one can answer me..what is happening...??? Someone please get back to me this does not sit very well with me at all...
