I was in an car accident in 2005 and up till today i was not aware that i as the passenger could claim from the road accident fund. As i was the only injured passenger to be transported to our nearest goverment hospital for treatment.
As per telephonic conversation this morning to the road accident fund 086023523 i was told that i was to late for my claim. claims needs to be submitted within 3years of accident. and yet according to them no claims was submitted... on my id number... which i was not aware of.
why was i not informed from any of the parties (eg, hospital, ambulance services, doctors, police) or any1 for that matter that i must submit any claim soon after the accident?
I was not aware as a passenger of the vehicle and or accident, that i was allowed to submit any claims. And now it is to late and yet i still suffer from that accident.
What do i do next...???
I have had medical expenses after the accident, i have obtained back injuries from that accident. Please can anyone assist in this matter.
