Tshwane District Hospital
Treatment

Morning

We were at the Tshwane District Hospital in Pretoria on 9 June 2013. Patient was admitted in semi-coma as the ambulance assistant stabilised and reviewed him. We phoned yesterday and after 20 minutes they comment he's still in the casualty ward.

We went to see him about 9:15, the male at the casualty entrance, sit-lay on his back chatting on the phone. No greeting, friendliness whatsoever, we required assistance and he said: "follow the green line".

So we did (and as we passed rooms, all is dirty and not neat) at the end of the green line, near the paediatric room, 5 staff members sat and chat. They saw we are looking for someone, but they still chat. We found the patient, wait about ten minutes and then I went and ask for the staff just to give some information. They just said we must wait for the doctor to review him. No further information regarding what happened to him, nothing. He had a drip on that was already finished, they just closed it and didn't take it off. The floor of that room was so dirty and some medical stuff was laying on the floor in the dirt. Opposite his bed was still blood spots on the floor from a previous patient? Nothing was
