You are 88 years old, have no immediate family and recovering from a hip replacement and is confined to your bed, and you are categorically told by ABSA staff at Zevenwagt branch in Kuilsriver Western Cape to personally go to the bank to have your missing bank card and other items, as reported to police (Cas213/1/2024) replaced, it's end of month and you need it soonest to pay the bills..Your trusted 24 hour caregivers comes to the rescue, hire a uber, strap you in a wheelchair, dress you in suitable clothes available and double nappies for just incase you need a loo, arriving at the bank and the manager who were made aware of your forced visit is in a meeting, how convenient, so staff wheeled you in a office, close the door, your caregiver told to wait outside, and then asked you more medical question than do what they suppose to do. More than three-quarter hour later you leave the ABSA bank and uber back to your house and on to your comfortable hospital bed to recover from trip to ABSA bank. With the help of your caregivers updating your banking details on-line, you can't do transactions as the cell number was not changed when you were at the bank... meaning another trip to ABSA !. To cut along story short... advice to ABSA, get on your bike with your laptop under your arm and provide your elderly and handicapped customers with a customer service... or are you carrying on with running ABSA from you fancy buildings and uncaring and arrogant
staff? This attitude is beautifully descibe in Afrikaans " BO BOND ONDER STRONT". wakeup AI is an arm length away to replace inefficiently...
