In December 2012 I installed 7 Solar Hot Water Systems at a cost of just over R200, 000. Eskom is always on our case about saving power etc. Anyway the instalation went very well and its working perfectly. We were told that the rebate process is very simple and that within 6-8 weeks all would be taken care of and rebates paid out. I duelly filled in all the forms and requirements as stated and sent to Delloites in Cape Town. 8 weeks later I got a message to say the wording was wrong. I redid the invoice with the arbitrary wording they now wanted.. 2 weeks later I was told I needed a physical address on the invoice. I complied. 2 weeks later they complained about the Inv no and date missing.
They also wanting the suppliers to re-invoice me personally and me to sign a cessation to the Trust in which the transaction had taken place. Why I have no idea.
Anyway it seems that 4 months down the line they are making it as difficult as possible to refund me the promised nearly R70, 000.
To all those trying to save on power etc beware the rebate system seeminglky stinks or is manned by incompentence. At the moment seems like both to me.
