Marius approached us last year with this incredible deal from West Rand Solars with a promised rebate from Eskom of R5500. He showed us (what looked like) a legitimate certificate from Eskom as proof that they are accredited. The system was installed (after a huge fight about the size that we have applied for and the size they want to install), then we had to wait weeks for the timer and eventually after a huge fight everything was fitted. Since the beginning of the transaction with them I've been asking for copies of all the paperwork that we have signed and submitted. Marius kept promising he will fax it, but never did. My husband also tried dealing with the owner, Barend, but he was always rude and never willing to help. He also stopped returning our calls. Today we find out that Eskom has rejected our application for a rebate, and the installer informes us that West Rand Solars has disappeared. now I'm sitting with a R20 000 system, no proof that I purchased the thing, and no rebate. PLEASE PEOPLE, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!!!
