I needed to post a parcel via Speed Courier Services so called into Ferndale Post Office today. The woman working in the Post Office weighed the item and told me it was too heavy (over 1kg) to put into a Speed Courier Services envelope and told me that I would have to send the item in a box rather. I then had to go and source a suitable box take it back to the Post Office. I handed the box to her and she told me she couldn't send the item in the box because it wasn't sealed so I asked her if she could tape it up for me and she refused.
Then, another Post Office employee came to me and gave me a jiffy bag and said that I should send the item in the jiffy bag. I questioned why Shirley hadn't offered me a jiffy bag, her answer to this was that 'she did tell me, but I ran away! ' She then refused to discuss the matter further.
I find her attitude totally despicable, I know nothing about packing requirements at the Post Office - that is why people are employed there to help the general public, but Shirley, not only blatantly refused to give me what I needed, she also about the whole situation when confronted.
This whole episode cost me over an hour of my time!!!
