Incompetent consultant costs me a month
I was contacted by Zubayr to upgrade my 8ta contract which expired on 28 February. I agreed to the terms and conditions and the contract would be activated on the 1st of March. A courier service delivered the phone to me on the 19th of February. I upgraded to a Blackberry contract. Understanding that the BIS would only be activated on the 1st of March I waited. On the 2nd of March I tried to set up the Blackberry. 8ta customer care told me that there was no upgrade done so BIS could not be activated. I would have to wait for Monday to resolve the issue with Selldirect. Monday Selldirect informed me that they never sent it through and that I would have to wait until the 1st of April to have the upgrade done. I told them to cancel the upgrade because if I go to an 8ta store it can be done immediately. I was informed that I will be held responsible for the cost of the phone and the couriers collection fee because they did not keep to their end of the deal. Wanting to speak to a supervisor I was informed that I could not be put through and that it would take them about 5 working days to get back to me and that I have to cancel my contract with 8ta. I am not willing to wait a month!!!
