Was over billed by 12114 units of electricity, struggling since May 2012 to get assistance. Renting a house, not receiving a lights bill just to find out that the electricity was behind by R15000 give or take. this was the account for the previous tenant. To crown it all the account is not even in my name. City power refuse to give information because the account is not in my name and the agency refuse to fix t matter. I now started questioning it and paid my rent for Jan 2013 however not the electricity and based on this the agency gave me notice. i will only move once i've been credited my money back!!! Anita is the most unhelpful person and refuse to give me any information regarding the matter and refuse to sort the over billing out. They owe me money and not the other way around. I wonder to how many other tenants are they doing this. This house is in such a poor state and they refuse to fix or maintain it and claims the owner cannot afford to do so. i pay my dues and this should not be the case. i want the agency to refund me my credit before i leave otherwise I'm not moving.
