Towards the end of the week ending 8 February my husband bought a 210 circular blade for his circular saw for urgent work during the weekend of 9/10 Feb. When he came to use it the blade did not fit the machine. On Monday morning 11 Feb I took the blade to Stevens and Co (Ryobi) only to find that it was a tooling error on the part of the company (a precision tooling company!). They did not have stock of what I wanted - all the remaining ones in the shop were the faulty lot. They took my details and undertook to deliver the next day - Tuesday. It is now Thursday and I did not hear a word so attempted phoning. After eternally long rings someone would pick up the phone (to stop it ringing) and hang up. I eventually phoned Johannesburg to get the manager's number. I eventually got hold of him only to be told they are stock taking and he didn't have a replacement blade. No-one phoned me to let me know. What company does not answer their phones during working hours because of a stock take!!! Altogether appalling service and totally unacceptable.
