I have spent three fruitless weeks attempting to be able to utilize my e-tag. All of the agents at the call centers are extremely polite; however they are also POLIETLY USELESS. I now have an e-tag loaded with R100-00 but cannot use it at all as it has never worked. Several calls later with numerous reference numbers and case numbers, the e-tag remains useless to me. The very last call I received in response to my complaint was on Thursday the 7th of February 2013, during which I was informed that all was in order with my e-tag and that I should try it as it should "POSSIBLY" work. This doesn't work for me. I travel in peak time and cannot be expected to test an item and probably blocking peak hour traffic because the e-tag doesn't open the boom. Since there is NO ONE of authority at these toll gates to assist, I simply didn't want to take the risk. On Monday the 11th of February 2013, I did have the opportunity to test the e-tag. BIG SUPRISE it's not working. I will now be expected to take off work again to go into a customer service centre to have it "looked at" Whatever for? This has been the biggest waste of time and money ever.
