I have sent the following to Discovery because they should have paid this bill either from my 2024 over threshold benefit or my cancer benefit (code C50.9)
I suggest you resubmit your claim to discovery:
"On December 17.12.24 a claim for me, Juliet Colly, main member, was rejected from Mauff A C And Partners Clinical Pathologist.
"It was rejected on the grounds I had exhausted my over threshold benefit.
"This was because a series of claims for post operative mastectomy physiotherapy had been incorrectly charged to over threshold when it should have been paid from my cancer benefit under the C50.9.
This issue was rectified by by CW Physios and followed up by my Discovery agent.
"Therefore there were enough funds restored to my over threshold benefit to cover this.
"In addition. The infection sample sent to Mauff A C And Partners was as a result of the mastectomy necessitated by cancer and should therefore also have been charged to my C50.9 cancer benefit.
Please follow this through and pay the pathologist accordingly.
