I went to your Sorbet branch in Pinelands, Cape Town, today (2024-12-20). I have been gifted two gift card vouchers of R500 each. I was aware that one of them only had R10 left, so there was no issue with that one. To my surprise, I was told by the sales lady that they had both expired!
Please explain to me how a monetary amount loaded onto a card can possibly expire. Sorbet has received the money; all I needed to do was choose what I wanted to that value. I understand that I wouldn't be able to get as much as I would have if I had used the cards immediately, but please, nothing at all?
My intention was to purchase the spray fragrance (No. 17) that was on a table outside the shop as a tester. When I enquired about it, I was told that only the body lotion in a tub was available.
Sorry Sorbet, but this is shocking service.
