I purchased a new Renault Koleos from Nick at Melrose Renault in 2012. I've taken it for all scheduled services and I literally use the car to take my kids to school and back. When we purchased the car from Nick we asked for a maintenance plan and the situation that we wouldn't have to pay for much, if anything, when it came to services and problems with the vehicle. This is what we were told we had when we purchased it.
"Check Fuel Injection" warning light comes on Sunday night. Monday morning first thing it's with in the workshop. No one calls me the entire day to update me on what is wrong/progress. I call at the end of the day to be given a vague answer from Alan. He also tells me that if what they are trying doesn't work, it will need "a regeneration which will cost R2500.00".
I was shocked at this as it's 2 years old & anything of this nature should be covered. Over the next 4 days, I continuously have to call them to find out what's happening, and no clear answers are given. I make it very clear that I will not pay a cent and today, suddenly it is fixed. Communication was terrible on their part. It also turns out we were not sold a maintenance plan which is news to us. Upset
