I entered into discussions with McCarthy Renault Woodmead to trade in my existing Renault and purchase a new Renault Clio 4. From the outset I made it clear to the salesperson that I wanted a FULL maintenance 5 year plan on the new car.
I repeated and emphasized this repetitively to the salesperson and they assured me that this was in the quotation, and even pointed me to a line on the quotation that read Extended Warranty, and told me that this was the 5 year FULL MAINTENANCE that I had requested and that they had included.
So based on the quotation I had, I worked out the affordability of this vehicle and made my decision to do the deal.
Upon trading in my old vehicle and receiving the new vehicle, the salesperson again assured me all was as discussed, and we signed the necessary documentation online finalizing the deal.
Then I went and sat with the finance lady to sign additional documents etc., and she informs me that I do not have a full maintenance agreement and to take one is going to cost me an additional R800 per month.
After discussions & emails I'm left with Renault's response - It's my problem, and the best they can offer me is parts at cost price on future services
