General Motors South Africa
CHEV SPARK

The oil filter on my 2012 Chev Spark came loose twice in 4 months. GM call centre refuses to log a complaint when I requested this to be investigated. The telephone call lasted 9:56 minutes and I was told this in not a complaint because the Dealer has fixed the car. I insisted on a reference number being provided to me (CC ref 1316545308).
My problem: When the oil filter comes off, ALL THE OIL lands on the road, I cannot drive further. Last time I stopped when I heard the noise and I was confident that nothing was damaged. This time I realised something was wrong when the oil light came on. Rudi from Somerset branch informed me that there is no damage to the engen because I stopped in time. I also do not need to worry because there is a 5 year warrantee guarantee on the car. The dealer informed me last time this problem occurred in another Spark and the guy did not stop in time, the engen seized. This problem resulted in a breakdown next to the road twice, WHICH IS NOT SAVE. I drive the N2 from Strand to Cape Town everyday, anytime between 5H30 and 23h00!
