FEDEX admits error, wants me to pay for it

Fedex SA admitted making an error with the import of this shipment as
clearing agent and expects me to pay for the error. This is not acceptable
and i would like to know what will be done?

The error came from incorrectly adding tax and clearing it with SARS after
i submitted the EURO 1 clearance certificate for the euro trade agreement
which makes the items tax free into South Africa under tariff code:
8211.10.30 and most other codes also. The FEDEX consultant claims that the
money was paid to SARS and cleared and would like me to pay and claim the
money back, which takes many months, if successful. I mentioned that i was
not willing to proceed in this manner.

FEDEX were supposed to get back to me but have not. What can be done? I am
only willing to pay what is correctly due which is only the VAT.

Furthermore, they contacted the supplier and falsely claimed that i am unwilling to pay the required tax in South Africa. This has been unresolved for 2 days without response from FEDEX.

What can i do to resolve this issue?
