The service (or more accurately No Service) that we have received from Eskom is absolutely appalling.
As per our Final Account dated 02/09/2013, we are due a refund of R2 846.33. On 03/09/2013 we provided Eskom with the bank details of the account that needs to be refunded. Eskom then forwarded an sms to us on 05/09/2013 stating that the banking details will be verified and thereafter refunded.
With every follow up call we made to Eskom since then we were told that a supervisor will get back to us with more information on the status of this matter and why it is taking so long. To date this has not happened. Only after sending an email this morning advising that we will forward a complaint to Hello Peter did we receive an email requesting that we please be patient!!
We were told, in writing, that the waiting period for refunds is between 6-8 weeks after receipt of the final bill. IT IS NOW WEEK 22!!!
This is unacceptable and a disgrace.
