Queued for an hour only to be told 'cash only'

Hi,

I ordered a book online, when I went to collect at the Bryanston Post Office there were three queues, my queue took an hour to get to the counter, only to be told that I cannot pay with my debit card, they only accept cash.. Nowhere on the slip does it say 'CASH ONLY'..

What's up with that?? Surely, if you only accept cash for certain transactions, you should state so on the slip, so people can be prepared and have cash.. Not wait for an hour, only to be told so..
