I bought a Kia Sorrento, lovely vehicle that was until I started having issues, replaced the cam belt, almost R12 000, then the radiator water bottle cracked, Kia had no stock, apparently in the country and I had to wait weeks for the replacement part. Then on 24 December 2013 my radiator water hose burst. I got the car back today 27 January 2014. I was told Kia was on strike, which they were not, I was told there was no spare part in the country (sound familiar), I was told so many different things. Eventually I had enough and called the Kia head office, no directors in to take my call, all in Dubai apparently, customer services would help. Later that day, what do you know, a spare part miraculously appeared, this after having being told by the service manager the part will only be in the country on the 31 January 2014. Over a month to repair a water hose. Then the shock, the bill R1126.00. Absolutely ludicrous, they replaced two hoses, two hoses, rubber hoses for R1126.00. I cannot purchase a KIa or a Hyundai again. I need reliable back up service. I will make sure that all my friends and acquaintances have all the facts before they consider buying a Kia of Hyundai.
