I bought an Electrolux wet and dry vacuum clean from Stax in Dunkeld in December for R649.00.
By June the vacuum was not sucking properly. I finally got a chance to return it to Stax, where they then sent it for repair. This vacuum was only 7 months old. I was told that it could take up to 2 weeks to get it back. A few days later I received a call from Stax stating that a filter needs to be replaced and it will cost me R380.00. I told them it was only 7 months old, this should still be under warranty. I was then given the number of Miquel who is the Rep for Electrolux. I explained my story to him, he then asked me to sms him the repair number, which I did. I heard nothing back from him. Weeks later I then called Stax again to find out what was happening and was informed I still needed to pay. When they contacted Miquel, he had no recollection of our conversation. I then spoke with him again and was informed that they out sourced repairs and they just put in new filters and the customer must pay. He had no interest in the matter. I paid R649.00 for the Vacuum cleaner and the filter was R380.00 more than half the price. Miquel just did not care and had no interest.
