Payement of VPC Tax Invoices

Attempted to make payment of R38.28 & R19.14 @ Sunward Park & Eastrand Mall shopping centres on 15/01/2014 & 16/01/2014 to the e-toll payment booths. Long periods of waiting (2-3hrs) when told that system failure or slowness. At Eastrand mall on the 16/01/2014 after 1hr-25min at booth counter being attended to by assistant, system could not access account in my name and crashed. The payment of R38.28 had to be payed for by or on the 16/01/2014 or fines of R57.42 are imposed. Have tried EFT's thro' FNB and was told that an account in my name had to exist at FNB to be able to make payment. My bank is at Standard Bank who could not access e-toll EFT account. 17/01/2014.Tried to make a cash deposit to e-toll account @ FNB Boksburg only to be told that the e-toll link is not up and running. What is this e-toll joke it's an insult to the credibility of South Africa to the rest of the world. We need investment, this is a serious infrastructure failure.. Michael Midgley
