SAPO service not up to international standards

I ordered an item from China it was posted on 2 Janauary 2014 and arrived 4 days later on 6 January2014 .
I had to complain and send many e-mails to lots of people to prompt them to give me service on 13 January2014 .In plain words they took 8 days to assess and send the parcel to y local post office which is 24km away the parcel for duties while the Chinese post took 2days to send my parcel 10, 537 km. Wow that is shockingly poor service.
