Last October (2013) I found a Monster promotion advertising prizes to be won should the consumer purchase a certain amount of the product.
I had a look at the website and decided to participate as I really wanted the advertised hoody.
I needed to collect 75 Monster energy tabs. Moster Energy drinks are prised from R18 - R24 per item. So as you can imagine, I spent a fortune on purchasing drinks to collect the required 75.
I then had a question regarding the tabs in early December (I had already posted the tabs by this point). The response to my mail, was to inform me that the promotion was not in my country? Monster then responded telling me to contact a different supportteam, which I did do. Long story short (there where many mail back and forth) I Sent a email for confirmation that my tabs where received via post. To date I have had no response.
I am at my wits end. I find that Monster is unfair, taking into account that the competition/ promotion ended 31 December. They have zero integrity. I have spent - R 1500.00 for the 75 required tab for a falsely advertised promotion. Is there anything that can be done?
