Bought Cartier Ladies watch from their JHB Tiffandales sale. November 2013 popped in to ascertain if guarantee covered the watch strap - otherwise would take 10 further steps to Sandton Cartier store to get strap fixed. Their staff eagerly offered to sort out strap (while I 'browse around') - took my details, promised to call me the following day - said watch would take week to two weeks to sort out and could courier to me. Three weeks later no call had been received. Called their offices in CPT, again promised a call - no call came, email later received saying watch not ready (no timelines given or hold up reasons). December 2013 called Mario - owner/manager, made more undertakings. Claims to have called landline - my email and mobile number remain unchanged! No updates received. 8 Dec called Mario again who began with illegal tactics that he would KEEP MY WATCH and refund me what I had paid for it - this is without my consent and the watch having been bought on sale. Condescending, rude, arrogant person. Told him it would be illegal to do so, denied it would be illegal. Found this conduct to be incredibly dodgy, illegal and unethical business practice. Alarm bells ringing loud...
