Unfair Garankuwa Disconnection

Good day All

Please note we have been disconnected by Eskom and have been told verbally that we have to pay a fine and we would receive it a letter yesterday and letter never came.

Today I sent someone to Eskom Garankuwa to request that letter which tells us what amount has been fined and to our surprise the following were said:

- Stand number 305 is not registered on Eskom data base
- The fine would be R4700.00 and no formal note was produced
- And that the person who is dealing with the case is not available and will be available on Monday

Questions

- Why is it that no formal letter has been issued to us by Eskom with their reasons for disconnection?
- How is the fine determine? Is there a standard fee or does anyone management decide on what the fee is?
- If this is a case why haven't we've been notified formally?

Also I'd like to emphasize that our Eskom box is not tempered with and it is sealed.
No report of investigation has been presented to us to proof why we were disconnected.

I now await Xolisa Qabela and Siphokazi Qasana's urgent response on email below and current one before end of business.
