A parcel was posted to me on 21 October 2013 at around past 1pm via the speed service overnight delivery at the Wisbey branch but it never arrive to me at the Port Elizabeth post office the following day (22nd October), I was told that it was posted late and will arrive the day after (23rd October). To my knowledge, the pickup time is 2pm and only if a parcel is posted after that time then it will be posted the following day.
The person who assisted me at the post office in PE told me that the system showed that the parcel was processed at 14:35 and that's why it was not delivered although my receipt shows a different time.
The whole point of going for overnight delivery was because the parcel NEEDED to arrive the following day and what I do not understand is that this was posted BEFORE pickup time.
I called the office in Wisbey and one of the employees told me that their cut off time was 1pm, which is not correct according to the post office times at the branch and on the internet.
This has been a huge and very costly inconvenience and I am not happy about it!!
