A packaged was posted with the Overnight Couriers from Welkom to Goodwood, Cape Town. This package was posted yesterday morning at 09:00. The amount was paid for the overnight courier and my mother was told that the package will be delivered today, before 12:00.
The reason why this package had been couriered overnight is because I NEED IT TODAY - isn't that the point of overnight couriers? If my mother knew that there was a strike in Johannesburg she wouldn't have used the post office to overnight it in the first place - but nobody notified my mother. When you promise a client that the package will be delivered, then the package must be delivered.
I went to Goodwood Post Office to collect the parcel, but they told me that the package is still in Johannesburg. My mother phoned me and told me she has spoken to Johannesburg Post Office AND Speed Services and they told her that the Package is in Cape Town.
I phoned Speed Services, they told me the package is still in Johannesburg and I will receive it tomorrow morning. This is not what we paid for.
