Incompetence at its best

I had requested to have my mothers TV licence cancelled reason being she is a pensioner and no longer owns a television set and my daughter does and has now taken over the payments for the TV License. So we have been paying 2 licenses for one household. Initially I had phoned in to request this I was then informed that that I had to get an affidavit done and take it through to the SABC offices. On the 3rd of March 2013 I did what was communicated to me and took all the required documents to the offices and found a man who seemed disinterested and just said it would be done in a couple of months. MONTHS???!!! Really??? and 6 MONTHS LATER MY MOTHER RECIEVS A LETTER AND A SMS SAYING THAT A PAYMENT IS DUE. REALLY!!! So that trip was all in vain. I would expect that such things would be handled differently. My mother is old and she really cannot keep coming with me to the police station to get documents stamped. So really what do I do now?? Go back and it doesn't get cancelled again?? I am really disappointed.
