My name is Unathi Mali. I took out a TV license in 2000 to buy a small black and white TV for R200 as a student. 3 weeks later my flat was burgled and at they took the TV and the some bags with the TV license. a year later I received a letter from SABC that I must pay my TV license. I called SABC to tell them I don't own a TV. They told me I must have an affidavit filled from the police and fax it to sabc which I did. That was the last I heard from SABC until last week in 2013 which is 13 years later when I was called and told i owed R4000 plus. How can after all these years tell me I owe when I still don't own a TV. What am I paying for? I did as you requested and faxed the affidavit but I'm still back at square one. please assist me me.
