A month ago I had occasion to call United Meat Packers to inform them of a problem I had with a packet of their Shoulder bacon which, when I opened it was rotten yet the expiry date is only in November 2013. I found the attitude of the person handling the call left a lot to be desired. I got a "Sorry about that" but when I asked if I would receive any feedback regarding this problem I was told. "Well I said we were sorry". I did send them an email hoping for a response but to no avail.

Our policy at United Meat Packers is to supply quality meat products at competitive prices together with outstanding service! This is their motto and maybe they should try and live up to it.

Unfortunately I did not get the name of the person who handled the call, but I assume that as she answered the call (Switchboard), they don't have a customer service department.

I was told that it was not their problem and that I should go the store I bought it from. My dissatisfaction is with their product not the store at which I purchased it as the expiry date is still in the future.
