I purchased numerous items from this well known & respected deli today 16/01/2013, including vacuum packed meat loaf. Back at work I opened the meat loaf, cut a piece and ate it and then immediately threw up. The meat was 100% rotten. I then examined the label on the shrink wrap to check on the sell by date. There was none? I called the store, complained and was assured QC would get back to me. Did'nt happen. I then drove to the store, gave them the rotten meat loaf & was treated as though I was wasting their time. No one from this up-market deli could explain why the product had no sell by date or why it was rotten. No apology, my money was refunded. I then spoke to 2 people, Tonic & Jacques and after checking more items found fresh lamb rib, again with no sell by date! When I asked how do the staff no when to remove fresh meat from the shelves that had exceeded their sell by date if there was no sell by date on the packaging, no one could answer! The store owner, Doros refused to take or return my call.
