On Saturday I I did my monthly shopping at picknpay sunwardpark. I bought meat amongst many items. When I got home and wanted to cook I open the meat and a overwhelming smell of rotten meat. I check the expery date on the barcode it said 25/12/2013 but on the expiry date from there supplier it said expiry date 05/12/2013. The meat was a few weeks over its expiry date. I was so upset just thinking that my whole family could have been in hospital today or even worse.
I took the meat back Sunday morning15/12/13 I gave the meat back and they said they will refund me and give me replacement meat. We went to the fridge were I took the meat from and to my shock all the meat in that fridge was expired as me and the customer servise manager open all the packs that was in the fridge. So they were going to refund me with expired meat again.
I am so shocked at what the butcher manager said 'the meat comes from the supplier like that'.
The health inspector should investigate that store.
I will never put my foot in that shop again. The reason why I shop at picknpay is of the fresh foods! Clearly not the case.
Any body who bought meat from that store should investigate the meat.
