Meat that i purchased was off

I bought a pack of chicken last week Thursday at Spar in Fish Hoek and it was rotten. Expiry date hadnt yet passed but the meat was off and smelled really bad. I did not take it back, as it was late at night and i definitely was not going to keep it til the next day. It was really an inconvenience! Clearly they do not care about their customers if they are putting rotten meat on their shelves! The staff at that particular Spar are not very friendly either. I want to be compensated. As it is, Spar's meat is so expensive already.
