I bought a Groupon voucher for carpet cleaning with Rescue Carpets and they were shocking! From the first Eastern European woman who answered the phone to the next Eastern european who showed up to "manage" one chap who was actually doing the job. We bought the most expensive option to have 5 rooms cleaned and as we only have 3 bedrooms we asked if they could do the staircase and 2 loose carpets instead. The woman said yes but that we should talk to the person who would be at our house. David, the young snotty and very rude person who showed up then said that we would have to pay an additional R350 for the 2 loose carpets, all this over and above the R270 already paid!!! He then spun some story about his cleaning being better than all the others and that they used some special cleaning agents which was a total as his worker uses the same bright pink industrial cleaner in the same blue machine that ALL of the carpet cleaners use!!! They were messy, late, banged every edge they could and never bothered to wipe up after their leaking machine and then poured all the filthy water down my toilet without even flushing it. I will tell everyone I know to NEVER EVER use Rescue.
