I called Santam, my insurer to arrange towing of my vehicle to a repairer. The towing company they used, Jidz towing services damaged the tie rod end on my vehicle. I complained, they went out and agreed to pay for the damages. The repairer supplied a quote which was never paid. Months later after a dispute arose with the repairer. I confronted the towing company with non payment and they conceded they had not paid but that they were now able to pay. I informed them of the dispute with the repairer and I advised them not to pay the repairer but me directly. I gave them my banking details and had to call them every day for two weeks without success. They then, after daily reminders decided to pay the repairer- our dispute is awaitig a trial date. I contacted Europassistance to get their service provider to rectify buy they have now washed their hands saying they cannot involve themselves in the dispute.
