TOM TOM GPS UNITS FAIL AFTER 1 YEAR

I bought a TOM TOM GPS and after a year had to pay for my LIVE services for another year. Just after paying for the subscription my GPS failed. The battery wont charge and I have paid for a service that does not exist. I subsequently spoke to several people about this and they have all experienced the same issues.
On trying to have it resolved I found out that my unit conveniently falls out of warrenty and I need to pay to have it fixed. Not only this but I am informed that it has to be sent out of the country as there is no support for it here in South Africa. Why hassle us with your products here in this country if you cant support your product. All I can say is that I should never have changed from Garmin. I must now fork out more money to buy a new Garmin that I know lasts for more than just over a year. If it was up to me this product should be taken off the market.
