Non-Waterproof Waterpoof Garmin 910 XT

I have replaced about 7 models of Garmin sports watches. I am a canoeist and trail runner. I love the Garmin functionality but the units all seem to fog up within a few weeks of being new while in use. This renders them great as a recording device but useless while in action. The old system with regional service centres at least helped as they would exchange a faulty product immediately. Now it is a costly and time consuming procedure via jhb. Turn around time of about a month and R150 courier charges. I have written to Garmin via email and their website with no response. I have spent years now paying for a product which has never functioned properly - this seems to be a design flaw as it cant seem to be fixed by replacement. I still am sitting with a very expensive faulty product and no useful service.
