We purchased a Sealy pillow top mattress from Furniture City in Bellairs Centre. ( less than two years ago)
Three months ago, we noticed that the stitching had come adrift along the length of one side, exposing the frame, springs etc. We logged a complaint with Sealy, who, in turn, arranged for an on site inspection. End result of that was that " stitching is only guaranteed for 4 months and the sagging is normal " ( didn't mention any sagging problem)
I took this up with Furniture City, but alas, up till this day, have had no positive response. I feel sorry for the ladies in their call centre, they are always polite and attempt to assist, but clearly, are not getting any support from the people " behind the scenes "
Undoubtedly, the quality is unnacceptable from a manufacturer who spends a lot of money in various advertising media, whats worse, is that their aftersales support is non existent.!
I have a simple request: please show the photographs which i have sent in, to senior staff in your organisation, let them decide whether they would accept such quality from a similar purchase! My case number at Furniture City is 180454 if anyone is interested.
